Founded in 2023 by Alejandro and Capris Cora, Defying All Odds (DAO) is an agency based in York, Pennsylvania, dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). With more than a decade of combined experience in the field, DAO was built on the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, everyday life.
DAO provides in-home support, community participation, and companion services, tailoring care to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. Beyond serving individuals, DAO is equally committed to empowering staff — ensuring they have the tools, training, and resources to feel confident and successful in their roles.

Defying All Odds operates as a provider regulated and monitored by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). This oversight ensures that our services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and accountability for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
